This facility, located in Bolivia, was a great challenge on many levels, but at the same time it proved to be an extremely rewarding project due to the benefits it brought to the area.
The flat-bottom cryogenic tank is intended for the storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This type of installation is known as a “virtual pipeline”, which consists of liquefying natural gas for distribution in areas where it is difficult to install a pipeline network.
The main complication was the area itself: it is located in the middle of the jungle, high in the mountains, far from any urban centre and difficult to access. However, the project was a success, both for our clients and for the environment.
